About Us

A Licensed, Owner Operated Electrical Contractor in Portland

Electrician Portland Oregon is a licensed, owner operated electrical contractor serving Portland, Oregon and the surrounding Multnomah County area. Trevor Lindquist, Owner and Master Electrician, opened the company in 2011 after years in the trade working on the same housing stock he grew up around. He built the business on a simple idea: one accountable electrician who answers the phone, shows up, and stands behind the work, instead of a dispatcher routing whoever is available. That is still how it runs today.

Every job starts with diagnosis, not a quote read off a price sheet. We open the panel, check the branch circuits involved, run a load calculation when the project adds demand, and only then put a number in writing. Work that requires a permit gets one through Portland Permitting and Development, and installs are done to the Oregon Electrical Specialty Code, from conductor ampacity and working clearance down to AFCI and GFCI protection where the code calls for it. When you call, you get an arrival window, a diagnosis you can understand, a written quote before work starts, and a walkthrough at the end.

Portland generates a particular kind of electrical work. Much of the inner east side and north side was built between 1900 and 1940, so we regularly find knob and tube, cloth insulated conductors, ungrounded two prong outlets and 60 to 100 amp services feeding modern households. The wet season from roughly October through May corrodes meter bases and fills crawlspaces with moisture where panels and junction boxes sit. Since the 2021 heat dome, heat pumps have landed on panels never sized for them, EV chargers keep pushing service upgrades, and ADUs need feeders, subpanels and their own grounding electrodes. That is the daily work here, and it is the work we know.

I'm Trevor Lindquist, Owner and Master Electrician at Electrician Portland Oregon. I was working in the trade for years before I opened the company in 2011, and most of that time has been spent inside Portland basements, crawlspaces and garages where this city keeps its panels. I still run service calls myself, do the diagnosis on the harder jobs, and check the work before an inspector ever sees it. If you call us, there is a good chance I'm the one who shows up.

What Portland, OR Customers Say

“The breaker for my kitchen outlets kept tripping in my 1920s bungalow on SE 39th whenever the microwave ran. He traced it to a loose neutral in the main panel, tightened the connections, and swapped the 20-amp breaker. The microwave and toaster now run without issues even during busy mornings.”
JR James R.Hawthorne District, Portland
“Lights in the living room on NE Alberta Street flickered during rainstorms because of corroded outdoor wiring from the 1970s addition. He replaced the run with new UF cable, added a GFCI at the source, and secured the junction box. The lights stay steady now, though the job took most of the afternoon.”
EP Elena P.Alberta, Portland
“Needed a dedicated circuit for a new EV charger in the garage near NW 10th. He pulled 6-gauge wire from the 200-amp panel, installed a 50-amp breaker, and mounted the charger with proper grounding. Charging works reliably even on cold winter nights without any voltage drop.”
